965 Nobody puts Rafe in a box Friday, May 1, 2009 [1] [2]
On today's show, Molly, Rafe, and Brian Cooley take over for Tom, Natali, and sanity. Between ISP censorship in Minnesota, Faceook phishing attacks, and search on Twitter, it doesn't sound rant-tastic but it really, really is. Enjoy.

966 We're gonna need a bigger e-book reader case Monday, May 4, 2009 [3] [4]
On today's show: thoughts on a bigger Kindle made for reading newspapers (fail), Sprint's earnings report (fail), whether Microsoft will allow downgrades from Windows 7 to Vista (fail) and "silver ooze" (winner!).

967 Bill Gates peep show Tuesday, May 5, 2009 [5] [6]
We speculate even more on the rumored large format Kindle, and get the announcement date wrong right from the start. What, we're supposed to read press releases? Also on the rumor front, we discuss Apple's interest in buying Twitter and Electronic Arts. Somethings just not sitting right about this one.

968 'Nothing but filth' Wednesday, May 6, 2009 [7] [8]
On today's show, we have a lot to apologize for, but don't hold your breath because it ain't happening. (It's all just a desperate plea for more voicemail.) The short version is this: Kindle DX is ludicrously expensive, Blu-Ray is catching on but totally shouldn't be, and Craigslist is officially a pimp.

It's a-hole Thursday on Buzz Out Loud today, as we regale you, the listening audience, with tales of cyber douche baggery on Wikipedia, Facebook, and computer fair failures. Also, warp drives (space rant!), the death of Duke Nukem, and Meatspace.

According to the Office 10 Twitter account, Zune lovers will be happy in June. If that wasn't weird enough, they also warn you not to buy an iPhone or Palm Pre, which is probably standing orders at Microsoft. Also Natali carries knives in her sports bra quite often. Or so we have come to understand.

973 A-polka-lypse now Wednesday, May 13, 2009 [17] [18]
We learn that Donald is a one-man polka band, Twitter people are never satisfied, and it may be getting slightly easier out there for pimps. It's all tech related though, we swear.

974 Black holes are made of people Thursday, May 14, 2009 [19] [20]
Well, actually, people are made of black holes. But I couldn't do a Soylent Green reference if I wrote that. We also talk about Natali's Lady Things and the fact that we all wear makeup. Oh, and Sony is broke. And Jammie Thomas is going back to court. So it's not all good news.

975 Beauty is in the eye of the Boholder 1000 Friday, May 15, 2009 [21] [22]

976 Cash, king of Spain Monday, May 18, 2009 [23] [24]
Apparently cash is still king in Spain, according to one listener. And here I thought it was Juan Carlos. We also notice how Craigslist is getting CraigsPissed over the adult services issue. And Dell says Windows 7 may be great and all but it's also going to be expensive. And that's just not so much of a good idea in this economy (With special episode recap at the beginning).

979 Underwear is big in Japan Thursday, May 21, 2009 [29] [30]
Well, according to one listener, you can't get away from underwear in Japan so the Google StreetView cameras shouldn't try. Also if you deleted those pictures of you in your underwear from Facebook, I can still see them. In fact, deleting photos from social media doesn't make it as deleted as you might like. We also talk Pirate Bay, RealDVD, and other court cases.

Natali brings our discussion of the MEMS-based accelerometer technology to a screeching halt when she suggested it be used in bed. This is a clear demonstration of how much more mature Natali is than Rafe or myself. IN other news we discover the true meaning of Bing and ponder the sanity of a new Mac-clone maker.
