346 The physics of cow tipping Wednesday, November 1, 2006 [1] [2]
CNET may not have the fanciest Halloween parties (like Google does) but at least we haven't been attacked with a bomb (like PayPal has). But luckily for everyone, Comedy Central clips are mysteriously back on YouTube! As for the cows, you'll just have to wait and see.
347 Vote for paper Thursday, November 2, 2006 [3] [4]
The U.S. elections are only a few days away, and it's becoming clear that in many corners of the country, electronic voting could prove to be a disaster. Veronica's out sick, but we found the moon tapes! I'd rather have V. and the moon tapes.
348 Are you there, Steve? It's me, Molly Friday, November 3, 2006 [5] [6]
We know you're listening to the show, Mr. Jobs, because Molly wanted an 8GB red Nano, and then it happened! While you're out there granting wishes, Veronica wants some recognition for all the fanaticism, and Tom wants to bro down.
349 Warm, fed, and dead Monday, November 6, 2006 [7] [8]
Science tells us that mice live longer when they have a lower caloric intake and a lower body temperature. Personally, I'd rather live my life being warm and full of delicious food. But, that's just me. Those mice might agree, given the choice.
350 Google Earth, I kill you! Tuesday, November 7, 2006 [9] [10]
Microsoft is having a pretty good week. First, it's announced that Xbox 360 will allow you to download movies and TV shows (some in HD) to your console. Then, the company released Microsoft Virtual Earth, which is a supercool competitor to Google Earth. In the words of Borat, "That's nice!"
351 Human hamburger turkey shoot Wednesday, November 8, 2006 [11] [12]
Talk about the most disturbing title ever. Anyway, there's a lot of product news today for the holidays: Vista has been released to manufacturers, Sony says they're totally ready for the PS3 launch, and the Macbooks get a Core 2 Duo upgrade! Everyone wins! Except CNET UK.
352 Goodbye, Mac guy? Thursday, November 9, 2006 [13] [14]
Despite the fact that you were snarky, and that you may have actually turned people away from switching to a Mac with your attitude, we'll still miss you. It wasn't your fault! The PC was just so...likeable. But we hear Linux is looking for a guy; we'll pass along their number.
353 Speed killed Google Video Friday, November 10, 2006 [15] [16]
Speed kills. In this case, YouTube's ability to instantly post videos from users is what made the site so much more popular than Google Video. Not that it matters now, really. In other news, Sony's PlayStation 3 has arrived in Japan! Big surprise.
354 Pod of thieves Monday, November 13, 2006 [17] [18]
You can be labeled a criminal for a lot of stuff these days. According to Universal Music, anyone who owns an iPod is a criminal, because they've got to have some stolen music on there, right? I'm pleading the Fifth.
355 Stinking so Zune? Tuesday, November 14, 2006 [19] [20]
The Zune has come into the world, and the reception hasn't been so great. The usual suspects are at its throat, like Walt Mossberg and David Pogue, but even some normal users are turning their backs on it when they see it in person for the first time. So this is the iPod killer, huh?
356 The Internet is not for porn? Wednesday, November 15, 2006 [21] [22]
I don't believe it either, but apparently the Internet is only 1 percent porn. What could possibly make up the rest of that content? I'm guessing YouTube and MySpace. We also listen to a few opposing viewpoints on the Zune, which made its debut to little fanfare yesterday.
357 12 million iPhones can't be a lie Thursday, November 16, 2006 [23] [24]
Twelve million: you can't really argue with that, right? I mean, maybe if it was, like, 10,000--then I could see how it would be a less reliable rumor. But nope, it's gotta be true. Maybe.
358 The madness that is PS3 Friday, November 17, 2006 [25] [26]
Put a bunch of people in a line (perhaps in bad weather), add a superhyped gaming console, and throw in the fact that the stores are completely understocked, and you've got a recipe for disaster. If you missed out on the line, there's always eBay and Craigslist!
359 Sad little Hobbitses Monday, November 20, 2006 [27] [28]
A little bit of the LOTR nerd died in me today when we learned that Peter Jackson won't be directing the Hobbit movie or any prequels. What a bummer! Meanwhile, Yahoo is in the news a bunch today, first with a weird peanut-butter metaphor, then with some deals with the newspapers. Personally, I prefer jelly myself. Would jelly be like Google?
360 A fair and balanced podcast Tuesday, November 21, 2006 [29] [30]
We usually try to stay out of Bill O'Reilly's way, but now he's gone and really offended us. Apparently, he's never actually "talked to those computer geeks," or else he'd know that we rule! Oh, and way to have a podcast of your show, after saying iPods have a "staggeringly negative effect on America." In the words of geeks everywhere, I'll respond: "O rly, O'Reilly? Srsly? No wai."
361 Special Guest Leo Laporte Wednesday, November 22, 2006 [31] [32]
On this day before Thanksgiving, we're very thankful to have Leo Laporte on the show! We talk about more Sony PS3 news, and how the rumor of Google going OS-style is once again popping up. Don't forget to watch us live on the Holiday Helpdesk this Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. PT, on CNETTV.com! If your call gets played on the air, you'll be entered to win one of those fabled PS3s!
362 Heartwarming Thanksgiving Episode Thursday, November 23, 2006 N/A [33]

363 Is Steve Jobs the walrus? Monday, November 27, 2006 [34] [35]
The Beatles may finally allow their music to be sold digitally on iTunes, which would possibly end their long-standing feud with Apple! Of course, they could just be trying to get more money before their copyrights run out.
364 All the video in the world Tuesday, November 28, 2006 [36] [37]
Google says that someday your iPod will hold all the media in the world! We're not sure if they've included Apple in this idea, but how cool would that be? Better yet, what will those crazy Google guys think of next? I hope it's a fridge that holds all the delicious snacks in the world.
365 Requiem for AllofMP3.com Wednesday, November 29, 2006 [38] [39]
It's easy to get distracted by naked people, but the real news of the day is the Russian government's ousting AllofMP3.com. However, the music site is fighting back (as usual) by saying it's probably even legal in the U.S.! I don't know, I'd probably just listen to Russia if I were you.
366 Buy yourself a bot friend Thursday, November 30, 2006 [40] [41]
Granted, some people may think you're a loser if you're on a social networking site. We won't judge you for that (glass houses and all). However, we might judge you just a little bit if you start paying a service to add hot, fake girls as your friends. It's an all-new low.
Extra Interview with Fritz Attaway (MPAA) Thursday, November 30, 2006 [42] [43]
